Juicing Recipes from Day 1

Purple Power Juice
6 cups Concord Grapes

1 Golden Delicious Apple
2, 2x2” pieces Ginger

1⁄2 cup Blackberries

6 cups of Concord Grapes is about a bag of grapes

Today I made this for the first time, substituting Granny Smith Apples for the Golden Delicious and used about 1” of Ginger rather than 4”.  It was super sweet, almost too sweet to drink.  This recipe made 2 batches so I have some for tomorrow morning too.  I really like this juice.

Mean Green Juice
6 leaves Kale
2 cups Spinach

1⁄2 Cucumber

4 Celery stalks

2 Apples

1” Ginger root

This was amazing.  I really enjoyed the taste and texture of this drink.  This recipe made 1.5 servings.  I have seen other videos where they use a whole cucumber, a half of a lemon and two carrots.  I really like this juice.

C+ Juice
4 Carrots whole and unpeeled
1 Capsicum (bell pepper) any color, but I like red, including stalk and leaves
1 Cauliflower floret and a bit of the leaf if you have it
1 Corn Cob, husks and silks removed*
1 Apple, though this juice is sweet enough without it
1″ ginger

This juice tasted on the whole pretty good.  It is a deep red color.  I used red bell peppers in this juice and the pepper taste is very strong.  Perhaps in the next one I will use less peppers.  I didn't care much for this drink.

Sunset Juice
1 Orange, peeled retaining as much pith as possible
2 Tomatoes whole
1 Carrot unpeeled
1 Purple Carrot unpeeled
Chunk of Pumpkin including seeds and skin
2 Button Squash whole

I didn’t have button squash so I used about a third of a butternut squash instead.  I forgot to put the pumpkin in the juice.
